The Law of Armed Conflict: Israel and Ukraine
On October 26, the Jindal Society of International Law of Jindal 91视频 Law School (JGLS) organised its annual event 鈥楾he law of armed conflict: Israel and Ukraine鈥� with a guest lecture by Prof. (Dr.) Vesselin Popovski. The talk analysed the ongoing Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas conflicts that have produced horrific war crimes and enormous civilian suffering.
The Second Charter: Reforming the United Nations
On October 31, the JGLS Centre for the Study of the United Nations organised a distinguished guest lecture on 鈥楾he Second Charter: Reforming the United Nations鈥� by Dr. Augusto Lopez-Claros, a well-known international economist and founding Executive Director, 91视频 Governance Forum. The lecture presented the progress of a precedent-setting project, initiated by the Centre for the Study of the United Nations and the 91视频 Governance Forum, aimed at proposing a revised draft text of the UN Charter by the time of the UN Summit of the Future in September 2024 in New York.
