Prof. Krishna Deo Singh Chauhan, Associate Director at the Centre, co-authored a research article with Prof. Anupriya of Jindal 91视频 Law School titled 鈥淎I Regulation: Trojan Horses, Shifting Windows and Estranging the Familiar鈥. The article has been published in the NLIU Law Review (Vol. XV, Issue II). The article examines how legal systems often seek to regulate emerging technologies by treating them as familiar objects, even when their capabilities and risks differ significantly from existing regulatory categories. Drawing on recent developments across jurisdictions, the authors argue that effective AI regulation requires a greater focus on how AI systems function, the risks they generate, and the harms they may conceal. The paper proposes a framework based on categorical scepticism, functional classification, and pre-emptive scrutiny, offering insights for the future of AI regulation and governance.
